Following two days of round robin play, British Columbia’s under-16 boys squad along with Quebec’s under-16 and under-18 girls squads entered Sunday with undefeated records. Sunday’s action began with semi-final showdowns while the bronze and gold medal games in each division were played in the afternoon.
Quebec’s pair of entries remained undefeated as they swept both female divisional titles.
In the under-16 girls division, Quebec defeated defending champion and host province, Saskatchewan in the gold medal game while Manitoba defeated PEI to capture bronze.
Quebec also captured gold in the under-18 girls division as the defending champion defeated Saskatchewan in a second final on the afternoon while Manitoba captured bronze this time against British Columbia.
To conclude Sunday afternoon, undefeated British Columbia battled Ontario for the under-16 boys title. Trailing 13-0 at halftime, BC stormed back in the 2nd half but fell a point shy as Ontario captured gold with a 19-18 win.
