Darcy Park to talk special teams at Football Canada Coaches Convention

Football Canada is proud to announce the addition of Edmonton Wildcats head coach Darcy Park to its 2014 Coaches Convention lineup on July 11 in Saskatoon at the SaskTel Sportcentre / Centennial Collegiate (150 Nelson Road).

Park who will present on special teams is one of 5 CJFL head coaches to present at the national convention which includes Iain Maclean (Edmonton Huskies), Ryan Karhut (Winnipeg Rifles), Scott MacAulay (Regina Thunder) and John Vouvalidis (London Beefeaters).
Coach Park has been with the Wildcats since the 1999 season.  He coached Running Back’s for the first seven seasons and in 2006 switched over to the defensive line. He has been the Special Teams Coordinator since the 2000 season and became the Assistant Head Coach in 2008. He took over as head coach beginning in 2011.
Coach Park graduated from McNally High School and went to New Mexico Military Institute (which played in the Western Junior College Conference), where he was named an Honorable Mention All American in 1993.  He spent the rest of his eligibility with the University of Alberta under Head Coach Tom Wilkinson.  In 1996 he was drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos, and in 1997 was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
