On Friday February 7 at 7:30 PM CT, Canada’s Junior National Team composed of the top 60 players selected from regional identification camps across Canada will take on USA Football U-19 squad. Not only will national pride be on the line but Canada’s top 60 will be vying for one of 45 spots on the defending champion’s roster.
Canada’s Junior National Team is led by head coach Warren Craney (York University) who continues as defensive coordinator in 2014, a role he has fulfilled with not only the 2009 and 2012 Junior National Teams but also with the IFAF World Team (2010-’13).
The following night at 7 PM CT, Canada’s U-18 squad composed of the top players from the 2013 Football Canada Cup [U-18 national championship] will take on USA Football’s U-18 squad hoping to catch the eye of national team coaches.
Canada’s U-18 squad is led by head coach Brad Collinson (Université Laval) who helped lead Quebec to three consecutive Canada Cup titles, two of the past three as the team’s head coach.
