Ottawa, ON – February 14, 2025 – Football Canada, in conjunction with our partners Football Québec and Football Saskatchewan, are pleased to announce the dates and locations for the Canadian Collegiate Flag Football Championship and Senior Flag Football National Championships in 2025.

The Canadian Collegiate Flag Football Championship will take place from May 2 – 4, 2025, at Leibel Field in Regina, Saskatchewan, in partnership with Football Saskatchewan, while the Senior Flag Football National Championships will be hosted from July 4 – 6, 2025, at Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard in Montréal, Québec in partnership with Football Québec.

Canadian Collegiate Flag Football Championship – Regina, Saskatchewan (May 2 – 4, 2025)

Since its launch in 2022, the Canadian Collegiate Flag Football Championship has quickly become the premier competition for women’s collegiate flag football in Canada. The tournament provides a national platform for university and college athletes to showcase their skills, fostering growth in the sport and encouraging excellence at the highest level.

The championship has already seen memorable moments, with the Université de Montréal securing historic back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 before Collège Montmorency Nomades made history in 2024 as the first CEGEP team to claim the national championship in an intense overtime victory

“After back-to-back years being hosted in Québec, we are very excited to see the CCFFC touchdown in Western Canada in 2025,” said Mark Kellington, Football Canada’s Manager of Competitions and Events. “University teams from Saskatchewan have always been consistent participants in this tournament since its inception, and we have no doubts our partners at Football Saskatchewan will raise the bar this year as hosts in Regina.”

With flag football gaining momentum ahead of its inclusion in the 2028 Summer Olympics, the CCFFC plays a vital role in developing the sport at the collegiate level and developing talent. The championship helps identify and prepare top talent while promoting gender equity and inspiring future generations of athletes.

Senior Flag Football National Championships – Montréal, Québec (July 4 – 6, 2025)

Football Canada’s Senior Flag Football National Championships stand as the top competition for adult flag football teams across the country. Each year, the best men’s and women’s teams from various provinces battle for national supremacy, with past editions showcasing elite-level talent and fierce competition.

The 2024 champions included Cayenne in the women’s division and the Braves de Montréal in the men’s division.

“Alongside our partners at Football Québec who have been fantastic stewards of the CCFFC, we are thrilled to announce that the Senior Flag Football National Championships is coming to Montreal this year,” said Kellington. “With the continued exponential growth of flag football, both here and around the world, we knew we needed to kick off the start of the first Olympic quadrennial that includes flag football with a bang, and we know Montréal is the perfect place to do that.”
