FOOTBALL CANADA INVITES THE PUBLIC AND FLAG FOOTBALL COACHES TO ATTEND OPEN PRACTICES AT MEN’S NATIONAL FLAG FOOTBALL SELECTION CAMP AT THE HOME OF THE WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

WINNIPEG, MB — Football Canada, Football Manitoba and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are pleased to invite the public, flag football coaches, and football fans to attend open practice sessions during the 2026 Senior Men’s National Flag Football Team Selection Camp at Princess Auto Stadium from April 30 – May 3.

Canada’s top men’s flag football athletes will be in Winnipeg competing for an opportunity to advance in the national team selection process ahead of the IFAF World Championship this summer, where qualification opportunities for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games will be on the line.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch elite athletes train and compete in a high-performance environment as Team Canada continues its road to the world stage.

OPEN PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Friday, May 1

3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. CDT

Saturday, May 2

10:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. CDT

3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. CDT

Sunday, May 3

9:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. CDT

Practice times are subject to change. On-field player and coach media availability will follow each practice.

ADMISSION INFORMATION

  • Admission is free for all open practice sessions.
  • Entry to the stadium will be through the Bomber Store.
  • Seating will be available on the west side of the stadium.

PARKING INFORMATION

  • Public parking will be available in the main lot outside the Bomber Store.

COACH ACCESS

  • Local flag football coaches are encouraged to attend and observe camp sessions. Sideline access for registered coaches may be available with approved credentials and advance coordination through Football Manitoba.

The Selection Camp will determine the next group of athletes advancing toward June training camp in Chula Vista, California, as Canada prepares for the 2026 IFAF World Championship.

The Canadian Women’s National Flag Football Team Selection Camp was also successfully held in Québec from April 10–12, 2026. The program will now follow the same pathway as the men’s team, with selected athletes advancing to the June training camp in Chula Vista.Football Canada is the national governing body for amateur football in Canada and leads the development of tackle, flag, and touch football from grassroots to high performance across the country.
