Established in 2007 as the Flag Football National Championships have provided athletes with a platform to develop their skills and compete at an elite level, paving the way for opportunities on the national team programs.
Football Ontario is set to host the 2026 Elite Flag Nationals in Kingston at Richardson Stadium from May 15th to 17th, marking the tournament’s return in the historic city for a third year in a row. This national competition will feature teams from across Canada competing in Under-14 (U14), Under-16 (U16), Under-18 (U18), Under-19 (U19) divisions, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills at the highest level.
Following the success of last year’s tournament, the Elite Flag Nationals continue to serve as a critical pathway for athletes aiming to represent Canada on the international stage, including future Olympic participation. This year, as part of the event there will be a Junior National Team selection camp for identified athletes.
