Football Canada Rolls Out 2026 National Tackle Football Events Schedule
OTTAWA — January 14, 2026 — Football Canada is set to kick off one of its most ambitious seasons in more than a decade, unveiling the 2026 national tackle football schedule that will bring the country’s top talent together from coast to coast.
From late June through early August, five national events will bring together male and female provincial tackle teams from across the country, showcasing the country’s top emerging and elite football talent while celebrating the growth of the game nationwide.
“With the return of the Senior Women’s National Championship, this is our largest tackle events season in more than a decade,” said Mark Kellington, Manager of Events & Competitions at Football Canada. “We’re excited to see the next chapter of some historic events, alongside the continued growth of newer championships. Working with our provincial partners, we’re committed to delivering an outstanding and memorable 2026 season.”

U16 Western Challenge
Dates: June 28 – July 4
Game Days: June 30 & July 3

U16 Eastern Challenge
Dates: June 30 – July 5
Game Days: July 2 & July 5
Location: Sherbrooke, Que.
Venue: Bishop’s University
Football Canada Cup
Dates: July 11 – 20
Game Days: July 13, 16 & 19
Location: Winnipeg, Man.
Venue: Princess Auto Stadium (TBC)
U18 Women’s National Championship
Dates: July 20 – 29
Game Days: July 22, 25 & 28
Location: Regina, Sask.
Venues: Leibel Field & Mosaic Stadium
Senior Women’s National Championship
Dates: July 31 – August 9
Game Days: August 2, 5 & 8*

Venue: SMF Field at Gordie Howe Bowl
