2023 Schedule for U16 East/West Challenges Set
Football Canada is pleased to confirm the schedules for this year’s East/West Challenges, the country’s tackle football showcase for athletes under the age of 16.
The 2023 East Challenge will be held July 3-8, returning to Alumni Field in Sackville, NB, with games on July 5th and 8th. Strong from previous showings, Quebec will look to achieve the incredible feat of securing a fourth consecutive title, having defeated Ontario 47-13 in last year’s final.
The Western Challenge will be hosted in Regina, SK, this July 4-8, 2023, with games on July 5th and 8th as well. Host team Sask will also be defending a title, aiming to secure a third championship in as many years; they bested BC 22-10 to win the Western Challenge last year.
The U16 East/West Challenges are part of a packed summer for tackle football events, alongside the Football Canada Cup (FCC) and the U18 Women’s National Championship, all set to be held across the country in July and offering athletes of all ages the opportunity to exhibit their athletic abilities, football skills, and team spirit on the national stage.
