Football Canada Announces Opening for Senior Women’s National Team
HEAD COACH SOUGHT TO BUILD PROGRAM ON NATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL STAGE
OTTAWA – Football Canada is excited to announce the opportunity for a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Senior Women’s National Team Head Coach (Tackle). This prestigious position is volunteer-based, allowing for remote work across Canada, though it requires travel for events. The selected candidate will enjoy the support of Football Canada in terms of travel, accommodations, and meals for events.

– Role: Senior Women’s National Team Head Coach (Tackle)
– Organization: Football Canada
– Location: Remote, with travel
– Compensation: Covered travel, accommodations, and meals during events
– Term: Four years, starting May 1, 2024, concluding post International event debrief
– Reporting to: Athlete and Coach Development Lead
Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage all aspects of the women’s tackle football program
– Cultivate a high-performance team culture, emphasizing positivity and competitiveness
– Develop athletes both on and off the field
– Collaborate with Football Canada’s Athlete and Coach Development Lead to create a 4-year strategic plan for the program
– Take part in team selection, planning, and recruitment processes
– Develop and implement effective game strategies and analyze team performance
Qualifications:
– Minimum age of 25
– Canadian permanent resident or citizen (valid Canadian passport required for international events)
– Adherence to Football Canada’s Code of Conduct
– Valid Police Information Check
– Registered member in good standing with Football Canada and affiliated organizations
– Three years’ experience coaching at an elite level
– Required completion of specific coaching modules and training
– Preference for candidates with experience in 11-a-side tackle football, coaching females, and possessing strong leadership skills
