Position: Assistant Athletic Therapist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Football Canada is accepting applicants for Team Therapist for its national team programs (Tackle specific)
2024 Events:
• 2024 Men’s Junior National Team Training Camp: June 13-20, Calgary, Alberta
• 2024 Men’s Junior World Championship: June 20 – June 30, Edmonton, Alberta
The team therapist will work closely with national team coaches, the Head AT, and national office staff.
The selected candidates will be responsible for providing a positive experience through their leadership of a competitive football program that values respect, teamwork and achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Athletic Therapist, in good standing with the CATA; Physical Therapist with Sport Physiotherapy Canada.
- Hold valid First Responder and BLS Certificates (these will include CPR and AED training)
- Experience as Certified Athletic Therapist/ Sports Physiotherapist in a contact sport environment, such as football, hockey, lacrosse, etc.
- 4+ years of experience as Certified Athletic Therapist/ Sports Physiotherapist with Provincial, Junior or U SPORTS football teams.
