Football Canada Rolls Out 2026 National Tackle Football Events Schedule
OTTAWA — January 14, 2026 — Football Canada is set to kick off one of its most ambitious seasons in

Our regional under-16 football tournament, with Western and Eastern provincial teams competing against each other for the championship.
The U16 East and West Challenges provide young athletes and coaches with their first experience of tournament-style competition, offering a unique opportunity to test their skills against neighbouring provinces. These events focus on player development, helping athletes grow both on and off the field as they advance their understanding of the game in a competitive environment.
More than just a showcase of talent, the Regional Challenges promote unity and camaraderie, bringing athletes together to share experiences and build connections with peers from across their regions. By highlighting the values of True Sport—fairness, excellence, inclusion, and fun—these events foster a positive environment that emphasizes growth, teamwork, and a love for the game.
The U16 Challenges also play a key role in supporting the development of consistent training and competition standards across Canada’s Provincial Associations. By providing athletes with structured, high-quality competition, these events lay a strong foundation for their future in football while celebrating the spirit and culture of the host province and city.
