Former University of Montreal Carabins offensive lineman, David Foucault will make his first NFL start tonight for the Carolina Panthers when they take on the New Orleans Saints under the Thursday night lights.

David a native of LaSalle, Quebec (just outside of Montreal) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Panthers in May of 2014 after impressing the team at their rookie camp. He also attended Cégep Edouard-Montpetit in addition to representing Quebec at the 2007 Football Canada Cup in the under-19 division.

“He’s getting a feel for the speed of our game,” head coach Ron Rivera said. “It’s a little different coming from the college ranks in Canada. He’s getting better and better. We really believe he’s taken big steps.”
