Countdown On: Football Canada Cup Returns to Antigonish This July
June 16, 2025 – The 2025 Football Canada Cup (FCC) is fast approaching, with the nation’s top Under-18 football talent set to converge on Antigonish, Nova Scotia from July 12th to 20th.
Hosted by Football Nova Scotia, the Football Canada Cup remains the country’s premier U18 tackle football championship, serving as a key stage in the national athlete development pathway. Seven provincial teams, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, will compete for the national title across nine days of high-performance football.
Since its inception in 1995, the Football Canada Cup has provided athletes with an elite competition environment, combining provincial pride, national unity, and meaningful development opportunities. The tournament also serves as an important evaluation platform for Junior, University, and National Team programs.
Defending champions Team Ontario enter the 2025 tournament aiming to repeat after capturing last year’s title with a dominant 45-7 victory over Québec in the 2024 final held in Regina. The final standings from the 2024 edition were:
- Ontario
- Québec
- Alberta
- Saskatchewan
- New Brunswick
- Manitoba
- British Columbia
- Nova Scotia
Antigonish will once again serve as host, having previously welcomed the FCC to Nova Scotia in both 2010 and 2017.
