Football Nova Scotia set to host the 2025 U16 East Regional Challenge in Antigonish from July 14–19
Antigonish, NS – Football Nova Scotia is proud to host the 2025 U16 Eastern Regional Challenge in Antigonish from July 14th to 19th, uniting the top young football talent from Eastern Canada. This event will feature Under-16 (U16) teams from Québec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick in a week-long celebration of competition, development, and provincial pride.
Following Québec’s thrilling 18–15 victory over Ontario in last year’s final and earning their fifth straight gold medal, the 2025 edition promises to raise the stakes once again, as rival provinces aim to halt the defending champions’ dominant streak.
The U16 Eastern Challenge offers athletes their first exposure to high-level tournament-style football, building foundational experience in a competitive yet supportive setting. Beyond the gridiron, the event fosters leadership, teamwork, and cultural connection.
The final standings from the 2024 Challenge were:
- Québec
- Ontario
- Nova Scotia
- New Brunswick
