by Braydon Stachel

Ottawa, ON – May 28th – Football Canada is proud to unveil the athletes selected to represent Canada on the 2025 Senior Men’s National Flag Football Team. These players will compete on the international stage as Canada begins its journey toward qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The final roster was selected following an extensive national ID camp process that brought together top athletes from across the country. Led by Head Coach Paul LaPolice, the team will continue training and preparing over the coming months with an eye on global success.

The level of competition at this year’s ID camp reflected the growing strength of flag football in Canada. Dozens of elite athletes made the selection process extremely competitive, and while not all participants made the final roster, their commitment and performance were critical to the overall success of the evaluation process. Football Canada extends its sincere thanks to every athlete who took part.

The depth of talent across the country made for some very difficult decisions following last week’s camp. We could not be more excited about the 12 athletes named to the final roster and the 4 alternates selected to represent Canada. We look forward to building a professional environment that supports their continued growth and prepares them to compete at the highest levels of international flag football.”

— Paul LaPolice, Head Coach, Senior Men’s National Flag Team

“It’s an exciting time for Football Canada to announce this team after months of identification and evaluation. This process has shown us just how many talented athletes we have in this country. Selecting and evaluating athletes is never easy, but we believe in the process we’ve developed and followed to build this roster.
Coach LaPolice and his staff have done an outstanding job fostering a professional and supportive environment where our athletes can continue to grow, and we’re confident that will translate into success on the international stage.”
