The competition review process evaluated football’s competition structure using the sport’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Plan with the goal of promoting optimal athlete development and participation by fostering the ideal competition structure with respect to athlete’s developmental age.
“The competition review process is all about creating the best environment for players to participate in and excel,” said Football Canada technical coordinator, Aaron Geisler. “As we continue to try to grow football from playground to stadium, we invite the public and football community to provide their feedback into this process.”
