Football Canada Announces 2026 National Flag Football Championship Schedule

Ottawa, ON — November 19th— Football Canada is proud to announce the full schedule for the 2026 Flag Football Championships, a nationwide series that will bring together the country’s top collegiate, amateur, senior, and club athletes for four major events across Canada. 

Flag football continues its rapid rise as one of Canada’s fastest-growing sports, with more than 60,000 athletes currently participating nationwide and projections showing participation surpassing 100,000 players within the next three years. With the sport set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, these championship events play a key role in developing Canadian talent and strengthening the national pathway from grassroots to high performance. 

2026 Football Canada Flag Football Championship Schedule 

Collegiate Flag National Championships 

Dates: Friday, May 1 – Sunday, May 3 
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan 
Venue: Leibel Field 
Hosted By: Football Saskatchewan 

Elite Flag National Championships 

Dates: Friday, May 15 – Sunday, May 17 
Location: Kingston, Ontario 
Venue: Richardson Stadium 
Hosted By: Football Ontario 
 

Senior Flag National Championships 

Dates: Friday, June 26 – Sunday, June 28 
Location: Montréal, Québec 
Venue: Complexe Claude-Robillard 
Hosted By: Football Québec 
 

Club Flag National Championships 

Dates: Friday, July 31 – Sunday, August 2 
Location: Ottawa, Ontario 
Venue: To Be Confirmed 
Host Partner: Football Ontario

With four championship events scheduled from May through August, Football Canada and its provincial partners look forward to welcoming athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters from across the country for an exciting 2026 flag football season.
