CIS Football Monday Roundup: Oct. 14 – 15, 2016
Mounties top Axemen 15-13 with last-minute heroics
A blocked field goal with less than five seconds remaining in the game denied the Acadia Axemen their second win of the season as the Mount Allison Mounties stole another Homecoming win from the host Axemen.
With the 15-13 win, Mount Allison improves to 2-4 on the season.
The Axemen jumped on the board at 5:14 in the first quarter with a safety given up by the Mounties followed by a 26-yard field goal by Brandon Jennings (St. Albert, Alta.) to give Acadia a 5-0 lead.
