The third edition of the U18 Women’s Tackle National Championship touches down in Fredericton, New Brunswick
FREDERICTON, NB – The 2024 edition of the Women’s U18 National Tackle Championship will take place from July 20 to July 28 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This annual tournament will bring together eight teams from across Canada, showcasing the nation’s best young female football talent.
Coming off a successful tournament in 2023 in Ottawa, the 3rd edition of the U18 Women’s Nationals represents a significant milestone in the development of youth women’s football in Canada. Teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Ontario (Red and Black), Manitoba, Quebec, and the introduction of the National Indigenous Team competed fiercely for the national title. Alberta emerged victorious in the Harlow Division with a decisive win over Quebec, while Ontario Black clinched the gold in the Cummings Division against Manitoba.
Day 1 Schedule – July 22, 2024:
- 9:00 am – Game 1: National Indigenous vs Ontario Black
- 12:00 pm – Game 2: Saskatchewan vs Manitoba
- 3:00 pm – Game 3: Alberta vs Québec
- 6:15 pm – Game 4: Ontario Red vs New Brunswick
Day 2 Schedule – July 25, 2024:
- 10:00 am – Game 5: Winner Game 3 vs Winner Game 2
- 1:00 pm – Game 6: Loser Game 3 vs Winner Game 4
- 4:00 pm – Game 7: Loser Game 2 vs Loser Game 1

- 10:00 am – Game 9: 7th Place Playoff – Loser Game 8 vs Loser Game 7
- 1:00 pm – Game 10: 5th Place Playoff – Winner Game 8 vs Winner Game 7
- 4:00 pm – Game 11: Bronze Medal Game – Loser Game 5 vs Loser Game 6
- 7:00 pm – Game 12: Gold Medal Game – Winner Game 5 vs Winner Game 6
