USA Football announces schedule for 2023 Junior Flag International Cup

From July 5-7, USA Football will host the second annual Junior Flag International Cup at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The tournament draws teams from five countries to compete in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Match play begins at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5 and concludes at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 7 with the 17U Boys’ Gold Medal Game.  

USA Football recently released the final rosters for the 2023 15U and 17U Boys’ and Girls’ U.S. Flag National Teams. The four U.S. National Teams will be joined in Charlotte by 16 international teams. All rosters consist of 12 athletes who will compete under the International Federation of American Football’s (IFAF) five-on-five rules. 

The Junior Flag International Cup is open to the public and free to attend. Media interested in covering the event should review USA Football’s media credentialing policy and complete a credential application. 

Today, USA Football is announcing the schedule for the Junior Flag International Cup, which consists of 64 total games. Medal ceremonies for the 15U boys and girls will be held after the 15U Girls’ Gold Medal Game. The 17U boys’ and girls’ medal ceremonies will be held after the 17U Boys’ Gold Medal Game. The schedule is subject to change.
