Women’s National Team seeks applications for Assistant Coaches

Position: Two Senior Women’s National Team assistant coaches (Offensive and/or Defensive)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Football Canada is accepting applicants for Offensive and/or Defensive assistant coach positions for a period covering:
- 2022 Women’s National Final Selection Camp: May 5-8, Ottawa
- 2022 Women’s World Championship: July 20 – Aug. 8, Finland
The coaches will work closely with the Head Coach and Football Canada Program Development Coordinator in identifying and selecting players.
The selected candidates will be responsible in providing a positive experience through their leadership of a competitive football program that values respect, teamwork and achievement.
Qualifications
- Permanent Canadian resident
- Member of Football Canada and their Provincial Sport Organization
- Fully Certified NCCP Level III or in-training in the NCCP Competition-Development Context (Completion of Safe Contact, Making Headway in Football, Competition Development (MED) Making Ethical Decisions and 1 of the 6 multisport modules)
- Coached at an elite level (i.e. CFL, CIS, CJFL, CEGEP, Senior Women’s Leagues, World Championships, National Championships, or Provincial Championships)
- Coach for at least a three-year period
- Proven record of experience in coaching events involving American football rules (i.e. exhibition games, exchanges, summer camps) considered an asset
- Experience coaching women will be considered an asset
