New Move Think Learn – Football in Focus resource officially launches

Football Canada in conjunction with Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada) have created an educational resource which promotes physical literacy through games and sport.

As part of the Move Think Learn series, the Football (Grades 4-6) resource was officially launched Tuesday.

Using the Teaching Games for Understanding approach, the series helps instructors to build games-play experiences for grades 4-6 students.

Teaching Games for understanding is a child-centred instructional model designed to actively engage participants in problem solving and decision making while gaining an appreciation of game strategies, tactics, and skills.

Overall, the goal of this resource is to help build up students’ confidence while motivating them to become more engaged in the sport as well as developing their skills.
