Football Weekend in Ontario hosted by Football Ontario kicks off November 23rd in Kingston, Elite Flag Nationals to return to the Limestone City in May 2025
Kingston, Ontario – Football Ontario is proud to announce the return of the third annual Football Weekend in Ontario, taking place at Queen’s University in Kingston on November 23rd and 24th, 2024. This two-day celebration of football promises a dynamic lineup of activities, competitions, and opportunities for fans, athletes, and newcomers to experience the sport in exciting ways.
Among the highlights is the highly anticipated Canadian Collegiate Women’s Flag Showcase, where twelve women’s flag football teams from Ontario and Québec will face off in a two-day tournament. Adding to the excitement is Football Canada’s 1st Down ‘Try Football’ Day, held in collaboration with the Kingston Minor Football Association. This free event, designed for youth under the age of eight, introduces the fundamentals of football in a fun and inclusive setting. Registration for the event is open HERE. Alongside these activities, the Team Ontario Flag Selection Camps will spotlight Ontario’s top talent vying for provincial representation. All of this serves as the backdrop to the pinnacle of the weekend—the 2024 Vanier Cup Championship Game, featuring the Laval Rouge et Or and Laurier Golden Hawks.
“Football Ontario is thrilled to host Football Week in Ontario and the third annual Football Weekend in Ontario, showcasing the incredible football talent within our province and across the country,” said Tyler McNicholl, Director of Operations for Football Ontario.

We’re excited to see Football Ontario deliver an exceptional experience for everyone at this year’s Vanier Cup and set the stage for the return of the Elite Flag Nationals in May 2025 to the Limestone City.”
